We are looking for a functional analyst to join our team as part of a digital transformation project for a major player in the banking sector.

Detailed Description

The functional analyst will act as an accompaniment of the customer in the analysis and collection of his needs in order to transform them into technical requirements for the developers, He will support the project team in the development of and Microservices, REST API and will be the liaison between the customers and the developers.,

All this with a team of 8 to 10 enthusiasts under the Agile methodology with sprints every 3 weeks, Daily scrum, Grooming session, Sprint review etc.

Objectives of the mandate

Support the client and his team in the transition from a monolithic application architecture to an architecture using integration systems and business systems.

The project aims to re-engineer the ecosystem to transition to a target application architecture of REST APIs for various functional needs.

The Responsibilities Of The Position Are

• Determine and analyze the customer's needs and guide him in the appropriate functional solutions taking into account budget commitments and delivery times;
• Document business needs in user stories and complete functional files;
• Participate with developers in the drafting of acceptance criteria in user stories to be respected;
• Guide development teams in their analyses and solve functional problems arising during the project so that the proposed solutions are consistent and take into account both user needs and system architecture as well as constraints
• Develop the different strategies related to testing, training, implementation, etc.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization, monitor their evolution and advise users on the computerization of operations, the development of management and analysis tools and the management of systems;
• Ensure the linkage of the project between the implementation teams and the project committee by guiding and coordinating the contribution of the advisors;
• Design and implement software lifecycle policies and procedures to optimize the efficiency, performance and quality of software and information systems;
• May be called upon to take care of temporarily, the activities of the Scrum Master in his absence for example or any other tasks of the squad if necessary (be a backup).

• Fully Bilingual (French/English)

Work schedule

• 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a functional analyst in Java web environment;
• Have worked in Agile environments
• Mastery of Jira/Confluence
• Mastery of UML and the writing of use cases and business rules
• Master the writing of user stories
• Skills that would be an asset
• Relevant expertise in a service-oriented environment (micro-services, synchronous & asynchronous)
