Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Model TE behavior-based safety practices to promote safe culture and compliance to worksite policies.
  • Participate and be a key member of the weekly capacity planning to appropriately staff, train, orientate direct staff to ensure alignment with production schedules and effective workforce utilization.
  • Leverage and apply knowledge of lean manufacturing and six-sigma tools to meet cost improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and set expectations, goals, and objectives for employees and cultivate talent.
  • Lead daily meetings to monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and adjust workforce as necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional value stream team to ensure customer focus, monitor KPIs and alignment to continuous improvement activities and solve day-to-day operational issues.
  • Develop strong training requirements and ensure effective cross training for the operations is completed to ensure high flexibility by the team.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and on-going support to manufacturing team leaders and zone leaders.
  • Daily review of production schedules.
  • Define hiring needs and participate in the process of selection of new employees.
  • Participate and be a key member of the problem-solving workshops with cross-functional teams.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Master/ Engineering degree (industrial, electrical or mechanical Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years with 3 years experience in cable assembly and cutting in automotive sector in a similar position.
  • Ability to work within dynamic environment with customer delivery pressure.
  • Strong team leader and team organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Problem Solving (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Ability to use software in a variety of functions including MS Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, SAP, etc.
  • English is a must.
