Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Responsible for production planning, scheduling and inventory control by using SAP.
- Interface closely with Production and all plant support groups to ensure activities aredefined accurately and executed effectively.
- Partner with production to develop a Production plan that meets customer service requirements while maintaining minimum inventory and optimal manufacturing cost.
- Monitor the production output on daily basis and make sure it meets the plan and highlight any discrepancies.
- Creates and releases purchase orders with awareness of customer request dates, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support ontime delivery to internal and external customers.
- Advises on availability date of finished products to Customer Service teams. Confirms all unconfirmed customer orders in SAP.
- Place purchase order with suppliers in response to actively support business requirements and follows up on the deliveries and schedules.
- Maintain appropriate material master data in SAP (MRP Views).
- Maintains additional requirement and order data in support of performance reporting andoperational financial planning.
- Forecast Raw Material and components to Tactical Buyer (ultimate point of need:suppliers)
- Highlight BOM / Routing errors when encountered and follow up until resolved with Manufacturing Engineering
- Work with QA to ensure timely release of finished goods & WIPs, coordinating and scheduling reworks as necessary
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Supply chain management
- At least 3 years of experience within the area of Material Requirement Planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
- Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
- Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Fluent in English both written and spoken, local Language is a plus
