Job Overview

• TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors.
• They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.
• Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
• They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Tasks And Responsibilities

• The job objective is to ensure compliance with product quality specifications, customer requirements, and process needs during the product and process design phase according Lean PD until the formal product and process release is achieved.

• The AQE engineer collects, registers, support and evaluates quality deviations during LEANPD projects until start of the PPAP process including APQP Elements.

• Support the FMEA meetings to achieve the quality standard, structure and content.

• AQE engineers are part of the project core team and being the Voice of the customer as well as the interface to other TE departments.

• AQE engineers evaluates together with the core team members the customer specification, regarding technical quality requirements.

• Managing technical information to the management and employees, e.g. trainings, seminars, lectures, software, quality standards.

• Servicing standards in APIS (PFD, FMEA, CP), QS-STAT (capability), SOLARA (MSA), Lessons Learned Database, etc.

• Representing the company to the customer in quality related tasks during the LEANPD project.

• AQE engineers are able to follow and lead customer 2nd party-audit as a part of a LEANPD project.

What Your Background Should Look Like

• B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field

• At least 2 years Professional Experience in Automotive

• English Skills mandatory (verbal / written)

• Internal Process Auditor according to VDA 6.3 would be a plus

• Handling of the Software APIS IQ-RM Pro would be a plus

• Handling of the software QS-STAT and SOLARA would be a plus
• Certified Green Belt would be a plus
