Job Description

  • The role of “Marketing Analyst” is a position in Visa’s NALP Marketing organization that will be responsible for managing and implementing Visa client marketing initiatives for Morocco and RONA (Rest of North Africa) geographies including but not limited to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Mauritania in addition to being responsible for the administrative coordination of marketing budgets and processes in NALP.
  • The candidate is to support the country marketing leads in the execution of their marketing plans to meet the regions’ business and marketing objectives set and help them in their client facing roles.
  • This is a pivotal role ensuring effectiveness of marketing strategy through Client partnerships spanning traditional & nontraditional players, issuers, and fintechs with the goal of achieving Visa’s business and brand objectives in this critical geographical cluster.
  • This candidate will also be accountable for ensuring that operational processes work efficiently within NALP team with respect to marketing budget management and adherence to policies and processes related to marketing activities (including marketing VIK).
  • Working with the Head of Marketing NALP on the compilation of finance reports and annual budget commitments will be a further key responsibility in this role.
  • This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager for North Africa, Levant, & Pakistan.

Responsibilities

  • Morocco & RONA client marketing:
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans designed to meet client and market requirements in Morocco & RONA markets.

  • Contribute to developing deep client partnerships by providing marketing support including marketing analysis, insight development and campaign activities to assist clients to drive Visa portfolio growth

  • Manage the client marketing programs and funds from planning to execution and ensure a seamless marketing in kind process implementation

  • Deliver marketing insights & data capabilities to drive deep partnerships with clients including research, studies and best practice benchmarking through the Visa marketing community

  • Provide in-depth understanding and analysis of payments industry, regulation, consumer trends and competition

  • Influence and gain the support of client banks to participate in Visa marketing activities, negotiating the financial terms of their participation

  • Lead for planning, guiding and delivering on all Marketing VIK (Value-in-Kind) plans and targets by effectively partnering with external agency partners

  • Support the activation of global sponsorship and product platform initiatives with Morocco & RONA clients.

  • Establish strong partnerships with internal teams to assist in the delivery of marketing initiatives within the geographies.

  • Effectively manage all stakeholders responsible for the successful implementation of any activity including agencies, suppliers, merchants, clients, and others as appropriate.

  • Identify opportunities in the market through tracking of key payment trends, cardholder behaviour, and evaluate them to create strategic recommendations for future business propositions

  • Review implementation of plans on an ongoing basis and provide guidance to external and internal stakeholders to ensure that KPIs are achieved

  • Manage the admin work and processes related to client contracting.

  • NALP Budget Administration And Management
  • Management reporting/tracking for marketing VIK and marketing cash incentives

  • Liaison with finance and reporting of monthly budget forecasts, actuals vs budget, & conduct variance analysis,

  • Management and administration of the budget tracking sheets, in conjunction with marketing team ensure that that monthly, quarterly and annual spend targets are met optimally and efficiently.

  • Reconciliation of third party invoices, invoice matching.

  • Lead the quarterly forecast and reporting process along with supporting with Marketing AOP submission

  • Design and maintain budget reports and dashboards for use by budget owners/stakeholders to understand weekly/monthly/quarterly spend

  • Preparation and storing of audit ready documentation related to monthly Work statements, POs, Accruals, invoices, goods received notes and credit notes (including compliance deliverables)

  • Ensure all marketing finance and administrative policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Ensure adherence of processes and procedures pertaining to marketing budgets

Key Competencies

  • At least 6-7 years relevant experience

  • Experience supporting the Marketing function within a multinational organization

  • Intermediate finance qualification with the ability to run basic financial analysis

  • Excel literate with an ability to set up and manage Excel templates and formulates including currency exchange calculations

  • Power point literate

  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Proactivity in managing budgets, variance reporting, forecasting, internal stakeholder management and vendor relationships

  • Eagerness to enhance marketing knowledge

  • Project management skills

  • Self-starter

  • Open to learn

  • Marketing campaign management, particularly for multi-channel, digital centric campaigns

  • Marketing KPIs and return on investment analysis

  • Active interest in media strategy / planning

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should have significant work experience in a blue chip retail or service sector organization. Financial services experience would be advantageous.
  • He/she should also have significant experience in marketing with a strong bias towards delivering successful domestic and/or international marketing programs.

  • Candidate must be open to travel as relevant within Visa safety and security policies

Experience & Qualifications

  • Arabic, French and English speaker.

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with a marketing foundation, MBA preferred

  • International marketing experience is an advantage: having managed and executed marketing campaigns
