Position purpose

With great knowledge in physico-chemical and microbiological methods, and good analytical and instrumental knowledge, the laboratory technician performs all kinds of analysis: Raw materials, packaging article, raw material reanalysis, finished products for release and stability, characterization of working standard.

Major Task and Responsibilities

1. Perform analysis of raw materials, finished products and controls of packaging items.

2. Comply with the analysis instructions and approved procedures

3. Respect the analysis schedule and ensure the improvement of release times

4. Report any anomalies to supervisors and QC laboratory manager

5. Declare any OOS or OOT to hierarchical superiors and ensure the traceability of documents and preparations for any possible investigation.

6. Comply with HSE requirements and ensure that the laboratory is a clean, tidy and sanitary place

7. Comply with GMP requirements and participate effectively in operational excellence

8. Participate in the disposal of chemical waste and ensure environmental preservation

9. Cooperate with the reagents and reference substances manager for better monitoring

10. Perform any additional analysis requested by the line manager

11. Provide data analysis and ensure the data provided complies with regulatory requirements

12. Train lower level lab technicians if needed

13. Cooperate with engineering and sampling as well as with the maintenance manager of equipment and installations

14. Work with other departments at the site to address quality issues (more emphasis on quality control of raw materials, finishes products).

Qualifications

- Holder of a Bac +3 / Bac +4 with a strong physico-chemical and microbiological knowledge

- Have 3 years of experience in a similar position

- Ability to write analysis protocols according to Bayer guidelines, interpret them and prepare a report.

- Apply GMP and local and Global regulations in all activities impacting the quality of finished products

- Rigor and respect for LIFE principles
